General Rules
Be respectful to other players and DM's. Pretty logical... It is nice if you can stay in character for roleplaying reasons but we are not stuck up hardcore roleplayers on this server and if you need to use OOC (Out Of Character) talk, you can do it, if you use some caution and the suggestions written below. Especially for grouping or for general social reasons OOC is even recomended. If you happen to run across a group that is roleplaying please do not break their immersion but stay IC in this case. If you suspect that roleplaying is taking place on the server or if there are many players on the server (god forbid! :-P ) then be sparse with the shout function and if you have to use it...try to do it in an IC-way, like: *town cryer*. In these cases it might also be a good idea to distinguish between your IC (In Character) and OOC banter by for example using prefixes like // or simply use different channels (local, party, shout, whisper). Sending private tells is a good way (if your information is only of value to one player). Naming Policy Do not use any well-known names from books, movies, games etc. Also do not create characters with exactly the same name under one username. That will cause bugs. Bugs And Exploits Taking advantage of known game glitches is naturally frowned upon. Reporting the bug instead is advisable. |
